Rotational Molding
Rotation molding is a special process in plastic molding. A very cost effective manufacturing process for small and large quantities of special parts which were unable to be molded by any other plastic procedure. In rotation molding generally allows production of parts as small as the size of a thimble or as large as 80,000 litre containers. Different types of plastics can be used in rotation molding, such as, Polyethylene (PE), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polyamide (PA) and Polycarbonate (PC). ALBERT Hohlkörper is a specialist in the field of PVC rotation molding. Parts produced from rotation molding are made in one piece design. One piece molding is significant in that there are no bonded seams that may fail during service. No imperfections or areas inside for bacterial build-up. Surfaces can be smooth / shiny or matt finished. The following items are manufactured by rotational molding: inflation and suction bulbs, play balls, pipe seals, boat fenders, doll parts, toys and arm rest for cars.
Illustration of Rotaional Molding: The material is distributed at the inner wall of the mold by a bi-axial rotation.
In comparison to other plastic procedures, such as, extrusion or blow molding, in rotational molding we can work without pressure or core. The rotational molded product shows less tension and more stability under higher temperatures, without additional mechanical influence. We are able to produce complicated shapes and products, which can be easily extracted from the molds. Mold costs are relatively low. Samples on new products are available within short time and new ideas can be transformed into finished products immediately.
Injection Molding
Accessories are manufactured by injection molding using state-of-art production technology. Tools are designed and manufactured in cooperation with our highly specialized supplier's. Using a CAD-model while working together with our customers we are able to minimize costs and time table (C-technique). Accessories are manufactured in different facilities.
Press Molding
Hot water bottles and other rubber products are manufactured in our facility in China.
